Is This The Ultimate Mind Power Solution?
June 23rd, 2007 by Thinkbox WebScientists have now discovered that different mental states correspond to different brainwave states. What does this mean? Here is a brief neuro-science lesson for you.
There are 4 different brainwave states that every brain is in at any given time. These 4 states are, Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta. Each of these states exist at a different brainwave frequency. For example, from fastest to slowest:
Beta - 12Hz to 38Hz,
Alpha - 8Hz to 12Hz,
Theta - 3Hz to 8Hz,
Delta - 0.2Hz to 3Hz.
In simple terms, the lower the brainwave frequency, the slower the brainwave activity. Why is this significant? Using a principle called the “Frequency Following Effect”, which states that the brain will follow or “entrain” to the particular frequency that it hears, we can now alter the brain’s frequency by listening to the desired frequency.
We already know that certain brainwave states are ideal for certain types of activities. For example, Alpha is conducive to visualization and healing, and Theta is conducive to super-learning and dreaming.
Allow me to illustrate just one powerful and immediate benefit of listening to a specific Mind-Optimizer brainwave entrainment CD that takes your brain into a Theta state.
We now know that your brain’s Sodium/Potassium Ratio resets itself while in the Theta state. These elements are involved in Osmosis, which is the process that transports chemicals in and out of your brain cells. After a period of time in the Beta state, the potassium and sodium levels are out of balance. This is the main reason and cause of the “mental fatigue” which we have all experience at times.
A brief 5 to 15 minute session in the Theta state can completely restore your sodium/potassium balance and quickly refresh your mind.
Everyday, more and more people are discovering the wonderful technology of brainwave entrainment and how it can help everyone in ways never imagined before. Entrainment is the ultimate mind power tool to help achieve your dreams.
